It’s not every day someone’s banned from a casual establishment because of the way that they’re dressed. So when a woman was recently banned from a Shell station in Woodstock, Alabama, for supposed indecent exposure, she was left both upset and confused.
Over the weekend, a TikTok creator named Rose posted an outrageous video clip. When she stopped to get gas off the highway in her home state of Alabama, the Shell cashier berated her outfit and told her to never return.
Rose, whose TikTok channel is @trapb6by, decided to brush off the comments. But when she got to her car, she had too many questions to simply just ignore.
She was clad in a short pair of leopard-print shorts, a pair of fuzzy flipflops, and a baggy t-shirt. Surely, she thought, there must be a mistake. Maybe the Shell employee was addressing the outfit of somebody else.
Just to be sure, Rose decided to go back inside and find out. She wasn’t even able to ask for more clarification before the same service attendant banned her for a second time.
Alabama Shell Attendant, or the fashion police?
Rose scanned her outfit and asked what the issue was. The Shell employee told her to“get out” for supposedly showing too much skin. She claimed she had the right to refuse people service, then tried to involve other customers who are in the store.
Rose explained more in a video caption:
I asked her “dressed like what?” Cause I wanna hear her say it! But honestly I’m still confused because again, I’m wearing shorts & an oversized tee… Then telling other customers to “take a picture of my backside” ??? Threatening to call the police on me for “indecent exposure” ?? Ladies it is 2025 we should be able to wear whatever we want without old ass hags like her trying to dictate what we can & can’t wear.
Before she exited the Shell station, Rose clapped back with criticizing comments of her own.
The video has gained more than 20,000 views. Most commenters fully support Rose’s freedom to wear what she wants to pump gas.
One viewer even pointed out, “[N]o shoes[,] no shirt is the only policy.”
Rose responded, joking that another customer didn’t have shoes on, to boot. The attendant in question, however, didn’t raise any concerns.
