In a surprising turn of events at Union Station, Washington, DC, a woman armed with just her voice and a megaphone managed to drive off three ICE cars. According to a video posted by an onlooker on Reddit, the protester, brimming with determination, strode towards the ICE agents standing by their cars. As she moved towards them, she screamed into the megaphone in her hand.
“F**k you motherf**ckers!, she howled in thrash metal vocals. As soon as she started, the ICE agents got into their cars and started to drive off. The “legend” did not relent her efforts till all the cars had driven off. “I’m the hero,” she bellowed after them. Soon after, the young woman who was in the video identified herself in the comment section.
“That’s me! I’m Patricia Eguino, and I’ve been protesting using death metal vocals for several years now,” she revealed. “Also, f**k ICE,” she concluded.
Patricia’s actions sparked a lot of comments, with many praising her legendary form of protest. Responding to Patricia’s choice of vocals, a netizen commented, “My first thought too lmao, apparently trash metal vocals do wonders on ICE pigs.” Another user who was fully in support of Patricia’s actions wrote, “You’re a f**cking menace, and I mean that as a compliment.”
One user asked a rhetorical question, “Maybe it will [be] the Karens that save the country?”
Someone else regarded the protester’s action as an act of patriotism and service to the country. Appreciating her efforts, they wrote, “Thank you for your service, Patricia!!” One commenter loved that the people were starting to stand up for themselves, reiterating that Patricia was indeed a legend. “Beautiful. The community is coming out. Good for her. I echo you: legend”.
Patricia isn’t the only legend who is standing up to ICE agents wreaking havoc in the streets of Washington, DC. As reported by NerdStash, a few days earlier, masked agents seized a Latino man in Union Station without a warrant or at least even reading him his rights. The video showed the man being dragged in a vehicle.
Onlookers were very concerned about the legality of this operation and wasted no time confronting the agents. One woman in particular trailed the agents to the car while shaming their actions. “Don’t you feel like f**king horrible people? Don’t you g**king hate yourselves?” she slammed.
Social media users, upon seeing the viral clip, wondered why the agents wore masks if they were so confident in the actions they carried out.
“These people could be anybody. We need to be treating this like an armed gang kidnapping people off the streets,” a commenter suggested.
