Overspeeding or driving under the influence is already a dangerous crime, but roping your children into it is worse than reckless. That’s why a mother of three in Orange County, Florida, was swiftly arrested after a police patrol caught her speeding away over 103 MPH, with all three kids with her in the car, one of whom is only eight months old.
The incident, which took place on August 29 at 11:20 PM, was captured by the cops themselves and uploaded to the Orange County Sheriff’s Facebook page. A deputy was shocked to see a Dodge Charger zooming past his patrol at a speed of 103 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. Naturally, the deputy chased the car and pulled it over. The driver was then identified as 34-year-old Asia Clark-Campbell.
Clark-Campbell was not only overspeeding dangerously, but the deputy discovered that she also had a 7-year-old kid in the passenger’s seat, a 12-year-old, and an 8-month-old infant in the back seat. To make matters worse, the infant wasn’t even properly strapped in a car seat for babies.
“There’s absolutely no reason. 103 [MPH) down Alafaya with an 8-month-old in a car seat with no straps peeling out at the light. 8-month-old is in a car seat with no straps,” blurted out the deputy
For her actions, the Florida mother was taken into custody at an apartment complex on Cricket Club Circle. She was then charged with excessive speeding and child neglect, along with multiple citations, since she had an expired registration. Prior to her latest arrest, Clark-Campbell also underwent a felony probation for grand theft of a firearm in June 2023.
People Online Were Appalled at the Bad Mother
Thankfully, Clark-Campbell’s children were taken away from her and brought over to their father after her arrest. As for the mother’s excuse, she claimed that she was being chased by a BMW and an Audi while driving her Dodge Charger, which had an expired registration. Regardless, people online were certainly not on Clark-Campbell’s side, seeing as she endangered an infant and all her kids.
“Crazy. And the ‘Why, sir?’ F***ing unbelievable,” says a Reddit user
“Genuinely dont understand the rocks that roll around in peoples heads.”
“not all a**holes are dodge charger drivers, but all dodge charger drivers are a**holes”
“So not only they endanger everyone on the street, they put their own f***ing child in a big risk. Now that is a piece of shit.”
Consequently, people were also praising the deputy for their reaction and the rather brief chase. The deputy showed the utmost concern towards the dangerous Florida mother’s kids, something which earned him the sympathy of certain Reddit users. Meanwhile, others were wondering how the Florida mother was even able to drive in the busy Alafaya road at such high speeds.
“If this driver is irresponsible enough to have a 7 year old in the front seat and an 8 month old without a car seat, then you can safely bet they have no insurance.”
“This is one of the things police are actually good for. I’m glad this officer arrested this lady because she clearly has no regard for her life, the life of her kids, or the life of others. I hope she enjoys her cell.”
