There are so many dreadful things that go on behind closed doors, under the cover of night, and in the densest forests. Unfortunately, these stories and what went on in them go beyond campfire tales with many having been lived by actual people. One Florida woman went to TikTok to tell her story of abuse from over a decade ago, detailing events that have never been heard of before. Commenters on the video were shocked at what they had just watched, letting her know that her story really is a true crime documentary.
TikTok user @skinny_mini99’s life might look like that of a stereotypical mother living in Florida, but something far more sinister lurks underneath. According to the above video, she goes over her trauma concerning sexual abuse she endured at the hands of her father in 2013. The Department of Children and Families was involved, resulting in both her and her siblings being shuffled around through foster families until they were ultimately returned to their parents. Unfortunately, addiction took over at this point, which resulted in her father’s arrest and other forms of mental and physical abuse toward his children.
Things did not stop there, with the abuse becoming more and more focused on her older sister. Eventually, a family friend questioned @skinny_mini99’s mother about the relationship between her daughter and her spouse. This particular scenario resulted in a strained relationship in the household, which persisted for a long time, until her sister gave birth to a baby. When DNA tests were performed on her older sister, the results confirmed that the father of the baby was her very own father.
Commenters in the replies were inredibly shocked by the story, with many of them being something along the lines of, “girl! hold on!” Various other comments follow this same lighthearted tone, with one of the top comments saying, “I’m 5 seconds inโฆ. I beg your FINEST pardon.” Fortunately, commentators were all supportive, making sure to let @skinny_mini99 know that the entire situation was not her fault, saying, “Honey you do NOT have to excuse your younger self for not saying anything. You should not have to say anything because that isn’t supposed to happen. I am so sorry. ๐”
Despite the events having happened over a decade ago, this story goes to show that some wounds will never truly heal. Although her father has a 2039 release date, I am sure there is still an overwhelming fear within her and her family that things might change.
