Hatred, the upcoming shooter developed by Destructive Creations just received a new gameplay trailer, alongside a June 1st release date. Announced on the official website, the developers also posted the following statement:
Hi all!
We wish to announce Hatred’s release date, it’s set for June 1st, this year of course. ;)
For 99% it’s a final release date, as the game is almost complete at the moment, we’re on the final polishing stage. Fun fact is that we wanted to release it on May 19th, but our team will be occupied with playing The Witcher 3 at the time. :D
Along with this great news, we wish to present you the last gameplay trailer. It contains intense footage of our gameplay, we’re showing much more than we ever did. We hope you’ll like it and spread it on the web.
This brand new trailer shows us just how much detail the studio has put into the isometric shooter, and gives us a further glimpse into what we can expect from our cold blooded antagonist.
Hatred has been surrounded by extreme controversy ever since it was first announced. It’s reveal trailer was mostly described as “grisly”, “extremely violent” and “cynical”, with multiple media outlets referring to it as a “mass murder simulator.” Despite the controversy, developer Destructive Creations describes Hatred as a game against trends, criticizing games that are “heading to be polite, colorful, politically correct and trying to be some kind of higher art, rather than just an entertainment.”
The question you may ask is: why do they do this? These days, when a lot of games are heading to be polite, colorful, politically correct and trying to be some kind of higher art, rather than just an entertainment – we wanted to create something against trends. Something different, something that could give the player a pure, gaming pleasure.
Hatred has managed to become the third game ever to get an “Adults Only” (AO) rating by the ESRB, which effectively prevents any mainstream distribution of the game at retail or on video game consoles. As such, Hatred is the first “Adults Only” rated game making his way to Steam.
Hatred is an upcoming shooter developed by Destructive Creations and scheduled for release on June 1st, 2015 for the PC.
