In the midst of the Charlie Kirk shooting drama, it is now believed that there is a suspect and he’s in police custody. A lot of information has been released surrounding Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old who shot Kirk in the neck at his Utah Valley University appearance. But, as most things go these days, what the internet really cares about is his political affiliation. With some people saying he’s a leftist and others saying he’s conservative, nobody truly knows the thoughts inside his head. It’s safe to say, however, that Robinson’s own grandmother has her mind made up about her politics.
On September 12, authorities released information that Tyler Robinson was in police captivity. Since then, information has been released that he recently became angered by the state of the world to his friends and family. They said that he became more “political and angry.” A classmate of his, Xander Luke, was quoted as saying, “He was politically active and outspoken about people’s rights.” He also believed that “both political sides were contributing to a country being in a worse place.”
A woman on TikTok (@notjcappiello) shared a TikTok about what Tyler Robinson’s own grandmother had to say following his arrest. According to this TikToker, his grandma “literally said how dare you call us leftists.” She went on to say that his grandmother said, “We are firmly MAGA.” This TikToker was completely blown away with this information. She goes on to say, “She was more offended that people were calling her grandson liberal or leftist than she is about the fact that he shot Charlie Kirk.” Talk about having your priorities all wrong. This really doesn’t make things look any better for the family.
Commenters couldn’t believe that his grandmother would be so brash about her political feelings at this time. One joked, “He may be a murderer but he’s no leftist.” Another person commented, “She said we raised no liberals in this whole entire family.” It seems that good ole’ Grandma is totally fine with outing the entire family for their backwards feelings and opinions. It makes it seem like they’re only concerned about their family looking like a bunch of liberals, and screw the fact that her own grandson took out an entire human being.
This is really the problem with people becoming so deeply entrenched in their political views that it takes on the form of cult-like behavior. With President Trump’s erratic fanbase, it’s no wonder that events like these continue to take place. But, you know, apparently the liberals are the violent ones.
