Dog owners are usually pleasant people, but there are always a few who are unpleasant. One of the most common complaints about dog owners is the mess their furry companions leave behind, often treating other people’s property as their personal bathroom. For Rica Rosa, this became more than just a passing annoyance when she faced the issue directly at her home in Beverly Hills, California.
According to Rosa, there was a group of people who regularly walked past her house with their dogs. The problem was that they consistently allowed their pets to poop on her front yard every single day without cleaning up afterward. Eventually, she decided that enough was enough and chose to confront the dog owners. Anticipating that the situation might get heated, she recorded the encounter, and her instincts were correct.
In the video, Rosa can be seen calmly addressing the dog owners, but they immediately grew defensive about being called out. Rather than apologizing, one of them quickly walked off in a foul mood. Rosa sarcastically wished them “good luck with that,” to which one of the dog owners shot back, “Good luck with what, my dog?” Interpreting Rosa’s remark as an insult, the situation escalated as the dog owner lashed out and called her a c*nt.
Rosa, however, did not rise to the provocation. Instead, she coolly told them to say it again, which only made the dog owners grow more agitated as they retorted at her. Thankfully, things did not spiral further, and after some heated words, the two dog owners eventually left the area.
The Beverly Hills woman later uploaded the video to social media, where it quickly drew a lot of attention. Many internet users agreed that the dog owners were completely out of line, both for allowing their pets to relieve themselves anywhere they pleased and for failing to clean up afterward. “You’re such a c*nt for not letting my dogs take massive craps on your lawn!” one Redditor joked sarcastically, mocking the absurdity of the dog owners’ behavior.
Others began suggesting ways Rosa could prevent such incidents from happening again. “Time to install those remote controlled sprinklers!” one user said. Another suggested building a fence to keep the animals off her lawn entirely. Some people even proposed more aggressive methods, such as picking up the leftover poop and returning it directly to the dog owners, since they were the ones responsible for cleaning it up. Another user jokingly suggested pouring bacon grease on the poop so the dogs might eat it, and then, hopefully, end up defecating back at their owners’ homes.
Not all advice was tongue-in-cheek, however. Some commenters pointed out that Rosa might be able to pursue the matter legally. “In my city, this video and a call to the dog catcher will get them a stern warning. A subsequent infraction will get them fined. This lady walking on your lawn is trespassing. Police can attend to that,” one user noted.
