Criterion Games announced today that Burnout Paradise Remastered will be available on March 16th for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.ย Players will head back into the world of Paradise City to enjoy vehicular mayhem in the ultimate driving playground. Pulling off ridiculous stunts in everywhere from downtown avenues to wild mountain roads. Burnout Paradise Remastered brings back the series famously insane car destruction in one of the greatest arcade-driving games ever created.

The release includes the base game in addition to the eight add-on game packs released during the “Year of Paradise” This does include the extension to the game world with Big Surf Island.ย Burnout Paradise Remasteredย also features a range of technical enhancements for greater visual fidelity, including high resolution textures that bring Paradise City into 4K and support for 60FPS on the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X.

โ€œWhen people think of Criterion Games, they often remember theย Burnoutย franchise and for good reason. What we created 10 years ago, we feel is still fun and unique to this day in the gaming industry.ย Burnout Paradiseย is an arcade racer built to provide players the thrill of racing with their friends, in a free form way that was both seamless and immersive, but also a little crazy with all the different stunts and crashes players could pull off. With the release of this remaster, weโ€™re able to share this action-packed ride with a whole new generation of players.โ€ย Matt Webster, General Manager at Criterion Games.

Burnout Paradise was originally released back in 2008 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles, as well as Windows PC in 2009. The game has generally maintained high review scores and is regarded by many as the best game in the franchise. The original game did also have backward compatibility on Xbox One.

Burnout Paradise Remasteredย will be available digitally and in stores on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will also be available later this year on EA’s Origin marketplace for PC, bringing the Big Surf Island add-on to PC players for the very first time. EA Access members will also get to playย Burnout Paradise.ย
