Some people’s parenting skills need to be called into question because why are their kids running amok in public places, mouthing off to strangers for no reason? Very recently, an Asian couple in North Carolina was walking through a store minding their own business when they were suddenly approached by a Black teenage boy. The child allegedly started throwing racial slurs at them and behaving “rudely and offensively” toward them.
When the woman took out her phone to record, the boy, who was almost trying to get physical, immediately backed away. Even in the footage that was later uploaded, the boy can still be seen posing as if ready for a fight, saying, “what, what,” and calling the man a derogatory word. As he finally walks off, he appears to mock them again, uttering something that sounded like “ching ching chan” before disappearing into an aisle.
What People Are Saying About the North Carolina Store Fiasco
The video has drawn strong reactions online, with most viewers criticizing the boy’s behavior. “That’s just the product of ghetto parenting,” one person commented. “It’s disgusting people think it’s okay to raise their kids like this. Same goes for other races of children.” Someone else wrote, “You didn’t deserve this and this shouldn’t have happened to you.”
A TikTok user felt that the reaction of bystanders at the store showed the double standard of society. “If someone says N word to black person all people around will be Definitely attacking that person! double standards [sic],” they said. A few also urged others not to generalize the entire Black community because of one individual. “Watch people blame all Black people for this,” a comment read. Another agreed, saying, “Unfortunately so many people are ignorant in America and will immediately jump to stereotypes and generalizing when they see videos like this. You did nothing wrong.”
