When you hear the term “going postal,” people usually think of the post office workers. However, one man in Washington took matters into his own hands when he had a crash out in line at his local post office. To make matters worse, he didn’t just cause chaos for the people working behind the desk, but he also made things very awkward for all of the customers in line behind him. It was truly a cringeworthy moment, and one person caught most of the encounter on video.
In a TikTok video posted by user @tabithaholesha0, an older man can be seen getting angry while speaking with a staff member behind the counter at the post office. The Washington man seemed to have a very clear vision of what he wanted to have done while at the office. However, when he was told that it wouldn’t happen, he refused to move out of line.
The man decided that he would not leave the post office until he got exactly what he came there for. He refused to leave the establishment and even blocked the other customers in line from getting service. “I’m not letting anybody past me,” he says.
Washington Man Loses His Cool At The Post Office
At one point, a female employee asked the next person in line to step up so that she could help her. However, the innocent bystander wanted nothing to do with the drama, refusing to get in the middle of the situation after the man looked her in the eyes and told her, “I’m working with this teller.”
After that, a man in line next to the male Karen tries to diffuse the situation. “Lets calm down. I understand you’re in a hurry, but she just works here,” he says. “All she has to do is process the mail,” the man says, now arguing with his fellow postal customer.
When the manager finally came out to see what was going on, the man claimed that the teller started yelling at him. However, everyone behind him in line immediately began to stick up for the employee, claiming that she didn’t yell at the man at all.
The TikTok cuts off before it’s clear if the man had his mail processed and left peacefully. However, that didn’t stop the comments from rolling in.
“Boomer panic is crazy,” one person stated. “I would’ve called the cops,” another wrote. “It’s so crazy to see something like this in real life,” a third person chimed in. “He’s a boomer. Are we even surprised?” a fourth comment read.
It seems that the post office has a knack for bringing out the worst in some people. Thankfully, others who witnessed the situation with the Washington man were there to clear up any confusion.
