Everyone knows that when it comes down to planning engagements, having someone else do it for you makes things so much easier. But what if you were secretly the one planning your own proposal with the help of all your friends? That’s exactly what one Georgia woman realized was happening to her just as her boyfriend got down on one knee to pop the question. Sometimes, the best surprises really are the ones you plan for yourself.
The above video was posted to the TikTok account @xtiffanyxkleinx and starts off with a woman named Ally who announces that she is planning her friend Samantha’s engagement. However, immediately afterward, Samantha shows up in the video and explains that she already knows about the engagement and that it isn’t hers, it’s actually Ally’s. In fact, the entire video was likely shown to Ally after everything happened, as it includes all of her closest friends and family explaining what their part in the scheme was.
The second half of the video is the plan being put into motion, with Ally’s boyfriend Richard being the one to go through with things. It’s incredibly sweet to see so many women come together to do something so kind for their friend. Everyone in the comments seems to agree as well, with the top comment saying, ““IT’S YOU [expletive]!!! IT’S BEEN YOH THR WHOLE TIME” I’m obsessed.”
My favorite aspect of the entire scheme was one of Ally’s friend calling her nail tech and asking if she could call Ally and cancel her appointment to reschedule it for that same day instead. That way, Ally would have her nails done in time for the engagement and not even question it. Other’s realized this too, with one commentator saying, “Wait the nail tech idea is genius because who would question your nail tech going “girl something came up and I can squeeze you in today but I have to cancel the 21st!”
By the time Ally realized what was happening, Richard was already proposing and all her friends were watching on a nearby staircase. What’s really funny is that when the video ends, you can see that Samantha had also been proposed to and had actually eloped the month before without anyone knowing. So, it looks like everything worked out in the end!
