Farmers have a lot to say to President Trump, who has proven to let so many of them down. They are asking for assistance following price fluctuations that put their farms at risk. He’s been making promise after promise that he’s going to pull through for farmers with assistance. Sadly, this has yet to be seen, especially amidst the recent government shutdown. Now, a Missouri man is speaking out against Trump after he made some egregious statements about cattle ranchers in the United States.
A Missouri TikToker, @westmoreland_pops, recently posted a video discussing statements Trump made about U.S. cattle ranchers. According to Will Westmoreland, Trump called these ranchers “too dumb to understand their own business.” When you think about it, that’s pretty messed up, considering they probably voted for him multiple times. He references an article on CNBC, where Trump is being criticized for his decision to import beef from Argentina. He thinks this is the best way to “bring down prices” for those purchasing beef in America. In the end, all he’s doing is undercutting the farmers that he promised to protect many times as they threw their votes at him.
Will says that President Trump raised the number of tariffs on Brazilian beef coming into America. He also increased the price of beef coming into our country. This means that prices at the grocery store were “forced up.” Recently, he undercut beef producers in America by “saying he was going to allow massive imports of beef from Argentina.” He also sent $40 billion to Argentina. None of this is helping America, like he talks so boldly about. And yet farmers continue to vote for him. Maybe Trump is onto something here – maybe he knows deep down that he’s hurting these farmers and getting away with it.
Will asks farmers, “How long are we going to give him a pass? How long is it going to be until you stand up and join the rest of the pushback against these policies that are harming rural America? Isn’t it bad enough that they cut the Medicaid that’s going to cost us thousands of rural hospitals?” We’ve lost so much under this presidency and it isn’t about to get easier.

As soon as farmers push back en mass, they are going to be labeled as antifa by Trump and MAGA will just start to villainize the farmers as libs. Trump has never cared what the people say, especially ones who voted for him.” That’s incredibly sad but true.
