A man, apparently out of the blue, melted down over a driver sitting in her vehicle in a Miami, Florida, parking spot. Knocking on the driver’s window multiple times, the man ended up calling the driver a “stupid immigrant.” Many pointed out, however, that the angry “Ken” is himself Hispanic.
The video shared by Robbie Harvey on TikTok shows the blonde man confronting the driver while walking his dog. He slowly approached the driver, a woman, and was seen making hand gestures to her, ordering her to move her vehicle.
Next, the man approaches the woman, this time from the driver’s door. He is seen violently knocking on her window multiple times. He tells her she is “parked illegally,” and she needs to move her car.
However, the man’s meltdown went full xenophobic and expletive particularly quickly.
‘I’m gonna [expletive] drag you out and arrest your [expletive] stupid immigrant [expletive],” the man said in the video.
The woman, meanwhile, never uttered a single word and just recorded the racist rant, occasionally letting out a laugh caused by disbelief.
The man then proceeded to call her “[expletive] ignorant.” He then continued to tell her to move and made hand signals to someone, though it’s unclear who.
Meltdown Over Parking Spot, Reactions
Many were quick to bash the Florida man for losing it so inappropriately, shocked by how disproportionate his reaction was to someone being parked in a parking spot.
“Introducing Ken, the male version of a Karen,” one user said on Instagram. A second one commented, “Wish he would try me like that.” A third one added, “I’m glad there is video of his face so everyone in Miami can see what kind of a person he is.“
Meanwhile, others pointed out the irony of the interaction, with users saying that the man himself was Hispanic.
“The Cuban who arrived years ago complains to the other one who has just arrived,” one user commented in Spanish. Another one said, “He’s Hispanic, so he’s an immigrant too.” A third one rounded out the argument by saying, “Does anyone else see the irony in this? A Cuban immigrant calling another Cuban immigrant ‘you immigrant.'”
