Operating any motor vehicle can be a tall task, especially for an elderly driver. However, a recent TikTok posted to the account @keviblaast shows that exact situation. In the video that has already garnered over 100k likes and 33K views, social media users see an older North Carolina woman try to pay a man cash after causing a car accident. The man would record the encounter as seen in the video.
The TikTok starts with the man and an older woman already in conversation. The man recording is also focusing on the damage done to his vehicle in the accident. The man’s car can be seen with a massive scrape along the back end underneath the gas cap. The North Carolina woman then claimed that she is 96 years old and has “No problems.” The man then tells her to look at what she did to his car. She can then be seen running her hand along the damage as she states, “It’s not hurt that bad, hunny.” As the man continues to explain that his paint is chipped, the woman says, “Let me give you some money.”
TikTok Reacts to Elderly North Carolina Driver
This is where the TikTok comment section lost it, as many left behind their own opinions and jokes on the matter. “How about 100 took me out,” wrote one. “96 and driving is crazy work,” said another. “Not the pocketbook,” joked one other commenter. Finally, one other person stated, “I’m calling the police every single time!” While many are making light of the situation online, it would seem some don’t get what’s so funny.
As the conversation continues, the man does an excellent job at keeping his cool. The North Carolina woman also says she will pay for the damage, as long as the man gets an estimate first. The person recording them shows the damage to the elderly woman’s car. However, the damage to her vehicle is far less significant than that to the man’s car.
As the TikTok comes to an abrupt end, the North Carolina man tells the older woman that a police report has to be filed. The woman then walks off to get her wallet, as the man is certainly annoyed by the whole ordeal. Unfortunately, the TikTok does end there, and the resolution to this issue is unknown. Hopefully, the older woman can get somebody to start driving for her, though.
