He recorded himself from a low angle at the check-in table, repeatedly questioning the staff about how they would confirm his identity if no identification was needed before receiving a ballot.
In the video, he asks, “So you don’t want my ID? How do you know it’s me then?” One of the poll workers responds that they could look him up “manually.” The man suggests that someone could simply give a false name, but the worker explains that signatures are used to verify voter identity and repeats that he is not supposed to hand over his ID. The man appears confused by this explanation and questions how a signature could be verified if it is not being checked against a physical ID.
