Crazy California Kids Start a Fire in a Neighborhood, Burning Down Two Vehicles: ‘Where Are The Parents?!’

Kids started the fire

Kids tend to be a bit reckless, and most of the time, we justify their actions as part of the whole childhood experience. However, there are situations in which some of their actions get out of hand and harm those around them. One of these situations happened in a neighborhood in Southern California, where two kids started a fire and ended up burning two cars. Unfortunately, these fires weren’t minor; both vehicles were totaled, prompting many neighbors to question how the kids’ parents are educating them.

Redditor Partyhardypillow shared the images from the harrowing event they experienced. According to them, two kids —one of nine and the other of six —started a fire in their California neighborhood’s parking lot. Unfortunately, it wasn’t without a toll: two vehicles were destroyed in the fire.

As you can see in the picture, the kids seem to have started the fire in front of the cars, which then spread to burn them down. The OP shared pictures of their vehicle only, but they claim a second car was also burned down.

The victim also mentioned that they quickly filed an arson and police report. If you look through the post’s comments, you can see that the fire department arrived at the scene to control the situation. The silver lining is that the fire didn’t spread beyond the parking lot. Yet there was serious, expensive damage, which we hope the kids’ parents will eventually cover.

At the time of writing, the OP has already called their insurance company and appears to be working to resolve the situation. However, they claim that they saw the kids walking to school as if nothing had happened the next morning. So it is safe to assume that the authorities have not talked to the parents yet.

In any case, this fiery event shocked many people online who are rightfully judging the parents of these two little arsonists.

“Where are the parents?!” said TheKeystoners.

“A 9 and 6-year-old did this? That’s insane. Hopefully, you have comprehensive coverage on your car,” commented Lifeishard1090.

The victim has been updating the post, talking about the aftermath of the situation. Also, the last thing we know is that they were already at a car dealership. Hopefully, this means that they will get a replacement soon. Still, we hope the authorities do something, especially to the parents who didn’t teach their kids that setting things on fire is bad.
