Working in the service industry seems like it can be a constant uphill battle. Social media apps like TikTok have countless videos depicting that specific career path as a nightmare. However, a video recently posted by the account @bama_babe_life shows that not every interaction in this field has to be a negative one. The video has around 1.9 million views and 304K likes as it has officially reached viral status. TikTok just can’t get enough of this Alabama friend group tipping some big money for their dine-in Friendsgiving celebration.
The TikTok starts off with the group of women finishing up their meals as their waitress can be seen coming to get their checks. Although before she could begin to clear the table or any other duties, she was interrupted by the group of women. They then proceed to tell her to start at one end of the table and go around to collect her tips from everyone at the dinner. The then confused waitress would listen and start on the opposite side of the table from the camera. Yet, it wouldn’t take long for her to realize what these Alabama women had done for her. Each person at the table was tipping their waitress a one-hundred-dollar bill.
TikTok Gushes Over Generous Alabama Women
The TikTok comment section exploded after this, as many would leave behind incredibly sweet messages for these women. “As a server, I’m crying for her, what a blessing!” wrote one. “May y’all’s pockets never run dry,” lovingly stated another. “She is going to think about this the rest of her life,” pointed out one more. Finally, one person said, “I’m sobbing.” It would appear as though many social media users are extremely happy with what these women spend their money on.
As the waitress goes around the table, she has a look of gratitude as well as a little confusion on her face. However, she was very polite about the whole situation and can be heard thanking the customers multiple times. The TikTok’s caption also states that the waitress was given a total of $1,300 in tips alone.
The service industry can be a very intimidating field, especially from the outside looking in. However, these Alabama women are living proof that not every encounter will be some kind of public freakout. Hopefully, these women can keep doing their thing for many others around the holidays. As for the waitress, she seemed very deserving of this extremely kind act.
