A restaurant in Corinth, Texas, is sharing surveillance footage of an alleged eat-and-run case that took place during a busy night last Sunday. The video was uploaded on their TikTok page, and it shows a woman seated alone at a corner booth positioned very close to the entrance getting up from her table and walking briskly toward the door. She managed to slip out unnoticed, but it seems she never considered the possibility that the restaurant might have cameras recording her every move, or perhaps she simply didn’t care at that moment.

Based on the information provided in their post, the woman had entered the restaurant and ordered food and drinks. After finishing her meal, she waited until the servers were distracted and not paying attention, then slipped out the front door without paying her bill. The restaurant did not disclose how much the meal cost or whether the police had been contacted. However, they emphasized that they decided to share the footage so other business owners could remain vigilant.

Netizens React to the Texas Restaurant’s Footage

In the comments section of the TikTok post, people had a lot to say about what they saw in the surveillance video. One person urged the restaurant to take action, writing, “Please tell me you called cops.” A second commenter said, “I vote for everyone paying 1st. I will not be offended.” A third added, “Why can’t people stay within their budget and stop hurting businesses. Making prices go up.”

Someone else agreed that paying beforehand might prevent situations like this but pointed out how customers often react. “When they ask you to pay first they call you racist but you see this all the time,” they wrote.

However, not everyone supported the idea of requiring payment upfront. One commenter argued that it isn’t always practical, saying, “You can’t pay first. What if the food is not well done? Think before you pay.” Another person added, “I would have no problem paying up front to prevent this. The servers will suffer, though, as tips will be forgotten or awkward to ask for at the end.”
