Genshin Impact Version ‘Luna III’ Launches on December 3
Before diving into what’s coming, mark your calendars because Genshin Impact Version “Luna III” launches on December 3. As always, we’ve attached the update’s trailer for those who missed the Special Program or just want to watch it again.
There are a lot of notable things coming to this update, but the first we’ll talk about is the new Archon Quest. During this mission, Travelers will finally see the Hexenzirkel arrive in Nod-Krai, where its members will help our protagonists solve the mysteries surrounding Teyvat’s borders and certain entities known as “phantoms.” Albedo and the Wanderer will accompany the Traveler in this adventure, but there’s also a new character joining the fray: Durin.
Durin arrives as a 5-star Pyro character who wields a Sword and also brings a new combat gimmick. Durin can act as a main DPS or support depending on which form you use. As a support, he can reduce enemies’ elemental resistance, and as a DPS, he boosts his Vaporize and Melt reactions.

Since the Hexenzirkel will play a considerable role in the story, there are also some gameplay additions coming with the debut of this faction. After completing Alice’s tasks, in,
Venti, Klee, Albedo, Mona, Razor, Fischl, and Sucrose will become Hexerei characters. Hexerei characters will obtain new abilities and also new Constellation effects. Plus, having at least two of these characters in your party will give them combat buffs. Each buff will be different for every character, so make sure to try all combinations to see how they perform during a fight.
Jahoda will also debut as a playable character and will be part of the first phase. She’s a 4-star Anemo bow character who will heal the party. Also, Venti will get his re-run alongside Durin’s banner. And Varesa and Xilonen will return for the second phase.
In terms of events, Travelers can return to Dragonspine for some winter-themed fun or go to the Silvermoon Hall in Nod-Krai for more stories involving the Dameselette. And for those jumping into Miliastra Wonderland, players can now share content through the editing tool, and also get a winter-themed Main Hall.
As you can see, Version “Luna III” of Genshin Impact will be full of things to uncover, characters to buff, and events to participate in. So, get ready to welcome the Hexenzirkel into Nod-Krai, because things are about to get even more interesting.
