Operating any motorized vehicle can be a tall order for some. That’s why it is so important to care for any car properly. However, that is not what this Texas man showed as his car would burst into flames in a recently posted TikTok video. The clip posted to the account @thao.fit shows the terrifying moment as TikTok users fear for the man’s safety. The video has around 1.3 million likes and 12.1 million views, and it continues to circulate on the internet as a viral video.
The TikTok begins with the action already underway, as the Texas man is seen exiting the now-burning vehicle. However, to top it all off, the car was set ablaze directly next to a gas pump at a gas station. This is likely what the TikTok comment section was so worried about, given the extreme danger anyone in the vicinity of the gas station was currently in. Luckily, the fire would not spread to the fuel pumps, although the man’s car was ruined. The text on the TikTok also reads, “POV: When the check engine light finally showed you why it was glowing like that.”
TikTok Reacts to Texas Man’s Car Fire
While this situation was extremely dangerous, the TikTok comment section still found time for jokes, along with real concern. “Car on fire… pulls next to the most flammable location,” wrote one. Another said, “He’s not moving fast enough,” regarding the Texas man getting out of the burning vehicle. One comment read, “My heart would literally stop if I looked outside and saw that.” Finally, one asked, “Why would he stop next to the gas pump?”
As the TikTok continues, the Texas man’s car can be seen spewing flames from the bottom as a thick white smoke rises from the top. However, some commenters called out the TikToker, saying the video was created by AI. “Yep, lies of AI. How would the flames on the driver’s side not catch the pumps?” one sceptical social media user asked. Luckily, the TikToker would then post a second video with a different angle of the fire.
Unfortunately, the outcome of this whole ordeal is still unknown. However, the important part is that nobody was hurt. While this Texas man’s car has been completely totaled, he probably won’t ignore that check engine light again anytime soon. Cars are tricky, touchy machines, and it’s essential to take proper care of them to avoid situations like these.
