A little boy in Idaho got his wish for some friends to come knock on his door and ask him to play this week. The sweet little guy, named Asa, who has a form of muscular dystrophy, has captured the hearts of the internet with his sunny disposition, adorable face, and kind-hearted words. So, of course, social media was left in tears after seeing him get something he’s been hoping would happen for years.

In the video posted to TikTok by Asa’s mother, the little boy is seen coming into his mother’s bedroom to tell her some exciting news. “What happened?” his mother asked. “Somebody rang on the door to ask if I could come and play,” he replies excitedly. He continues on to reveal that it was three potential friends named Dallas, Troy, and Yvonne, and that he asked his father if he was allowed to go play with them, and he was given permission.

“That’s exciting stuff,” his mother replied, with obvious emotion in her voice. “That’s a big day, dude!” Asa then turned with a huge smile on his face and gave his father a big hug before going off on his adventure. “He’s been praying for this for years,” his mother wrote in a caption posted across the video.

Of course, TikTok exploded into a fit of emotion and happiness for Asa. “They better be nice to him or else,” one person commented. “Ohhhhh you know I was watching like a hawk,” his mother replied. “He was so excited. Kids are so pure,” said another. “Not to be dramatic I want to give this precious boy everything,” a third person stated in the comments. “I would die for him,” a fourth person declared.

In a follow-up video, Asa and his mother gave viewers an update on how the situation went. Asa revealed that he had a lot of fun and that he and his three new friends had a great time playing together. He even admitted that he didn’t feel left out or behind because of his muscular dystrophy.

“We played soccer. I got super tired, so I just rested,” he told the camera. He then told a story about playing on the seesaw with the group and jumping off to play a silly prank on the others. “It was so funny,” he said.

In a time when there are so many horrifying social media videos being circulated, Asa from Idaho put a smile on TikTok users‘ collective faces, and they’ve quickly fallen in love with him.
