Soulframe‘s Midrath is now more accessible than ever with the Preludes 12 update, thanks to an official fast travel mechanic. However, that doesn’t mean you can freely zip and zoom across the whole map. Digital Extremes, or Soulframe’s devs, are still upholding their exploration-focused design philosophy. That said, fast travel is rather handy, especially if you’re no longer a beginner, so here’s how to do it.
Soulframe Fast Travel Prerequisites

Before you can fast travel in Soulframe Preludes 12, you need to finish the following quest and its prerequisites:
- Waste Bear Quest (Bromius)
The Waste Bear quest itself has a prerequisite condition where you must rescue and recruit Verminia, the Rat Witch. Verminia, for the record, can be found in the central part of the map in a cave beneath a hollowed tree, and you also need to complete her corresponding quest. After you finish Veminia’s and the Waste Bear quest, Bromius will give you a Living Plant for your Nightfold hideout, and this plant bears Wevetseeds, which you can then use as currency for fast travel.
Fast Travel in Soulframe
Assuming you’ve completed the Waste Bear quest and are thus rewarded with Bromius’ special plant, follow these instructions for fast travel in Soulframe:
- Go to the Nightfold
- Head to Verminia’s spot (left side if you’re walking out of the tent)
- Look for the plant and climb up the stairs to get to the plant
- Collect the Wevetseed, but think wisely before you use it for fast travel
Wevetseeds can then be used as fast travel currencies, though you can only fast travel to World Trees and Enclaves, not specific dungeons or other points of interest. Moreover, you can only get one Wevetseed per day from the Living Plant, though it’s not clear whether this will be changed in the future or not.
You will need to consume your Wevetseeds wisely, and having access to fast travel in Soulframe doesn’t mean your days of exploration and manually walking to destinations are over. The good news is that you can stock up on Wevetseeds, so you might want to save them up for crucial fast travels, at least until mounts get introduced into the game.
You might also want to unlock all the World Trees to make your fast travels smoother. It’s also worth noting that fast travel in Soulframe is mostly reserved for intermediate players because of the prerequisites and the time-gating involved in its currency. Again, Soulframe is still in its pre-Alpha stage, so a lot can still change or get overhauled in the near future.
