Everyone should be entitled to purchase their food and get precisely what they want without fear of being poisoned. However, a woman in Massachusetts did not have that pleasure, as she called out a particular biscuit brand for containing aluminum shards. The woman provided evidence to back her claims in a TikTok video. “I’m pulling these freaking biscuits out,” she began, picking them out and showing each side, “and they all have little pieces of aluminium in them.”
As though trying to ensure she was not imagining things, she asked, “Are you seeing this?” The woman picked out each biscuit and laid them out before calling out the brand. “Pillsbury Brand, you owe me $10,000, because why are you trying to poison me and my family?” she demanded. The post quickly drew attention from consumers who had experienced something similar. “I reported this to them a few years ago, and they just sent me $10 in the mail, and I just never bought again,” a user wrote in the comment section, corroborating the woman’s story. “I regret not reporting it to the health department or something. They really don’t care,” the user added.
Another user wrote, “It looks like the wrapping broke down. They can’t be too old, or they would have been swollen. I would call Pillsbury first.” Sharing the same opinion, a second added, “Yeah, they gotta get way better packaging because this has been going on for a WHILE. There’s no way they haven’t received hundreds of complaints over the years.” Some noted that it wasn’t an isolated occurrence. “This always happens. Crescent rolls and cinnamon rolls, too. I stopped buying them. If you look closely after opening the package, you will find it 100% of the time. Even the generic brands,” one stated, and another echoed, “Something is happening with our food. Even ‘fresh’ produce has weird texture.”
A few offered solutions to the problem at hand. “I know it’s time-consuming, but we have to go back to making from scratch,” one user wrote. “File the largest lawsuit ever against these companies for poisoning our food. It is time to stand up and put them out of business,” a second one chimed in. A last one wrote, “Every business that’s harming us needs to be held to FULL account as per our rules. They are trying to kill us!
A similar incident also happened in New York, maybe even worse. As TheNerdStash reported, a shopper bought a box of chicken nuggets only to open it and find that they were raw on the inside. When the shopper posted it on her stories, other netizens also reached out, saying they had experienced the same thing.
