Birthday celebrations can tend to get a little wild from time to time. However, in a TikTok video recently posted to the account @KRIS, a Colorado family has a birthday party they will most likely never forget. The video has around 500K likes and 2.6 million views as it has officially reached viral status. Social media users seemingly just can’t get enough of these birthday pyrotechnics, as they watch this woman nearly burn her house down with a birthday candle mishap.
The TikTok begins with two of the family members sitting in front of the birthday cake. Although once they start the traditional singing of Happy Birthday, the Colorado woman in the video would make everyone stop. She then points out that the candles are not lit, and it would be “More dramatic” if they sang after lighting them. She can then be seen pouring some kind of mystery liquid onto the cake with the lighter lit in her other hand. Unfortunately for the family, though, the liquid was in fact flammable. The cake and the table then quickly burst into flames as the entire family began to panic.
TikTok Reacts To Colorado Birthday Fire
This really set the TikTok comment section off, as many would find this entire situation extremely funny. “She was right, it was more dramatic,” joked one. “This is straight out of The Office,” pointed out another. “Why is the chaos so loud and so quiet at the same time?” one commenter wanted to know. Finally, one other claimed, “This is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.” It would be safe to say that social media is very amused by this family’s crazy birthday celebration.
As the panic levels continue to rise within this Colorado household, the fire also does the same. By this point, the cake fire is raging as the surrounding family members attempt to put it out. However, the man in the video was quick on his feet as he began stomping the fire out right away. Yet, whatever liquid that was dumped onto the cake was extremely flammable, so it took some time to snuff out all the flames.
As the TikTok video cuts off, the person recording quickly gets up to show all of the action. Plates can be heard falling off the counters, a scared cat runs for safety, and family members attempt to keep the house from burning down. All in all, it appears that nobody was hurt, and so significant damage was done to any objects in the home. While this funny video comes to an end, it’s important to remember that fire is not a toy and must be handled with care and respect.
