A woman in Massachusetts considered herself the biggest fan of Noah Kahan. However, when the Spotify Wrapped Day came, she was shocked to discover that Kahan lived in the same block as her.
The story was told by TikTok user carrievee27 (Carrie). This happened three years ago when she lived in Watertown, Massachusetts, and she is sharing it now for security reasons. Back in the day, she noticed Noah Kahan, her favorite artist, sharing a post about Spotify Wrapped, celebrating his fans’ love.
However, something caught Carrie’s eye. The post location was Watertown, where she lived. Not believing what she saw, she then confirmed her theory by watching one of Kahan’s stories, where he is shown in the street. Carrie lived just down that street, about a 2-minute walk away.
Fighting her impulses, she decided not to pursue Noah Kahan and instead waited. Eventually, she walked her neighbor’s dog and, to her shock, she saw a German Shepherd. Noah Kahan has a German Shepherd. And who was walking the German Shepherd? Noah Kahan.
“I walked up to him, and I was like, ‘Hi, are you Noah Kahan?’. And he’s like, ‘Yeah!’” Carrie said. She then asked what he was doing in Watertown, and he explained that his girlfriend lived there. After explaining she lived there, Kahan told her, “I guess we’re neighbors!“
While she was nervous, Carrie talked with her favorite artist for a few minutes about dogs. Then, she snapped a selfie with him.
No Longer Neighbors, Reactions
Carrie spoke with him one more time before she moved out. Since then, Kahan has also stopped living in Watertown, but they both met a year later, before one of his concerts.
Many reacted to her story, shocked by the monumental coincidence. One user commented, “If I saw Noah Kahan post from my literal street, I’d stop doomscrolling at once and go for a walk.” Another said, “The idea of Noah Kahan walking to the deluxe town diner with his girlfriend and dog is just delightful.” A third one wrote, “This would be on my resume.”
It’s not often that you get to meet your idols. It’s even less often when you find out they actually are your neighbors.
