A new PlayStation job listing may suggest that Bungie‘s rumored Smash Bros-inspired MOBA, Gummy Bears, is ramping up toward a bigger testing phase. The temporary QA role is listed under PlayStation Studios and managed through a partner, DZConneX/Yoh Services, on the job listing platform Indeed. It specifically calls for testers who enjoy fighting games, MOBAs, Smash Bros, and Pokémon Unite.
The listing also asks for an intermediate understanding of ‘modern console, PC, and mobile gaming functionality.’ That could mean Gummy Bears isn’t sticking to just one platform. Here’s the requirement pulled from the job post:

Earlier this year, reports claimed Bungie had been working on a ‘vibrant and colorful’ platformer MOBA live-service game for younger demographics. Called Gummy Bears internally, it had gone through early internal playtests after three years of development. Those sessions supposedly went well, with ‘overwhelmingly positive feedback’ and some calling it Bungie’s ‘most fun’ project so far.
The timing is interesting considering Bungie’s current predicament. Sony recently confirmed that Destiny 2 underperformed, even taking a $204 million impairment loss on part of Bungie’s assets. The studio itself has also admitted that the game has been struggling to attract new players to keep its live-service model healthy.
All of that puts extra pressure on whatever Bungie ships next. A lighter, more accessible multiplayer game like Gummy Bears might be the way to rebuild lost momentum.
There’s still no release window, but earlier reports claimed Gummy Bears is planned for launch sometime between 2025 and early 2026. If testing is spinning up, a public debut could be on the track with said timeline.
