In truly cat fashion, a woman in Ohio has been basically forced to take in five kittens, all of them her own cat’s offspring. While wholesome, it would have been nice to get a heads up, or at least that’s what she would’ve wanted.
The kitten incident was shared on TikTok by influencer Lacie Evans. Keeping the cat situation a secret and urging her followers not to be mad at her, the woman revealed that her cat, Smokey, brought his five kittens to her house. Unannounced, uninvited, and unexpected.
“I’m still trying to get them tamed and used to me, because they’re petrified,” Lacie said. Out of the five kittens, she named the tabby Tabasco, because of course she did. She named Tabasco the “spokesperson” of the group, which includes three tortoiseshell kittens and one grey cat, similar to Smokey.
“We’re building up our relationship,” Lacie continued. “Because my goal is to, obviously, have them just end up being barn cats, take care of them, get them fixed, etcetera.”
Apparently, Lacie didn’t have a choice. She explained that, while hanging out with her fiancée, she heard a “pathetic little meow.” Then Smokey showed up with his five little, adorable yet demanding kittens.
“I see that you take care of cats, woman. We need some care,” Lacie said, interpreting what was most likely on Smokey’s mind. “I’m now the proud owner of five kittens,” she exclaimed in excitement and confusion.
The Cat Distribution System Works, Reactions
In a follow-up video, Lacie showed how she was getting her Ohio barn ready to house her five new kittens. If the Cat Distribution System is really a thing, then she’s most likely at the top of the recipient list.
As expected, her followers were left in shock and even moved by the sudden kitten invasion.
“Smokie is just a single dad that works two jobs that loves his kids and never stops,” one user commented. Another one wrote, “The cats decided since the cows aren’t always having babies, it’s their time to shine!” A third one added, “Smokey is the assistant to the general manager of the Cat Distribution Center.”
While things are most likely going to get wild at that Ohio barn, it is good to see that those kittens will have a loving owner who will care for them. After all, Smokey’s cheeky nature paid off.
