Many keen-eyed Guardians might have seen a few enticing things in the Equilibrium dungeon trailer for Destiny 2: Renegades. Some spotted the iconic Chewbacca crossbow, a few more Star Wars references, but the most alluring detail of the whole clip was the darksaber. Well, after a lot of speculating, we now finally know how to obtain the Dark Matter Crystal for your Praxic Blade, and it isn’t as hard as you think it would be. Here we have a guide on how to get the Darksaber crystal in Destiny 2.
How to Get the Darksaber Crystal for your Praxic Blade

Bungie just released its most recent TWID, and in it, there are some details regarding the Equilibrium dungeon race requirements, contest mode, but most importantly, the coveted Darksaber crystal of Destiny 2.
Previously, many speculated the Dark Matter Crystal would be a drop from the Equilibrium dungeon, and they were 100% right. However, we now know how to obtain it, and while it will be a grindy process, it won’t be too difficult or tied to the game’s contest mode.
The Dark Matter Crystal: Taken, which is the official name, will drop from either Contest or Normal mode of Equilibrium. According to the official announcement, this crystal has a low chance to drop after completing all encounters inside the dungeon. Also, it seems that the order of how you complete them won’t matter. As long as you beat them all, you’ll have the opportunity to take this crystal home.
Another great piece of news is that players will be able to farm the dungeon as many times as they want. Bungie mentioned in the TWID that the progress resets weekly and on every full clear. So, if your Fireteam is able to beat the dungeon, you can jump back in to try getting the Darksaber.
While the drop rate is still uncertain, the fact that we can grind the instance repeatedly is a huge win. Of course, this might mean that players will have to run through Equilibrium many times, but after beating it for the first time, the other runs should be easier, or so we hope.
In any case, the dungeon race is nigh, and Equilibrium’s doors will open for the bravest Guardians out there this weekend. If you don’t want to join the race just yet, you’ll be able to try the normal mode once contest mode ends. Regardless, try getting that power level up and prepare your build before facing what this dungeon has in store.
