Former ICE Janitor Threatens to Call ICE on Hispanic Workers in Georgia for the Silliest Excuse: ‘Racism is Crazy’

From janitor to scout, quite the climb

Calling ICE on professionals, or threatening to call ICE, has become a trend for many people in the US, no matter how disadvantageous the impact might be. One man in Georgia appears intent on keeping this trend alive, as he couldn’t help but threaten some random Hispanic workers in his neighborhood with an ICE call. Naturally, this scared off the workers, leaving the Georgia man’s neighbors with unfinished yards.

The incident took place in College Park, Georgia, and was recorded and uploaded by TikTok user @nacho.el.gallo. The male Karen in question, who even introduced himself as a former janitor for ICE (US Immigration and Customs Enforcement), walked up to the Hispanic workers and told them they can’t spin the cement mixer until the truck is off and not in motion, then threatened to call ICE if they didn’t stop:

The kicker is that cement mixer trucks are designed to work that way– even when moving, so that the cement in the mixer wouldn’t set and become solid. To the former ICE janitor, however, this didn’t seem to matter, as he really wanted the Hispanic workers away. “I’ll get Highway Patrol down here… and then I’ll call ICE! Because I got their number ’cause I used to be their janitor! And they’ll come out here,” claims the man.

Based on follow-up witness accounts, the Hispanic workers quit the job and left the homeowner to finish their yard work with only one remaining helper. It’s not clear whether the homeowner knew who the former ICE janitor was, though his actions certainly affected the morale of the Hispanic workers.

People online are getting tired of Karens like him

While the former ICE janitor isn’t exactly the first to threaten Hispanic people with a call to ICE, it appears people online are still condemning his actions more severely, especially since he effectively ruined his neighbor’s yard. “How pissed would you be if you were this guy’s neighbor, who just chased your construction crew off your project mid concrete pour? Oh boy. They have to live next to that,” says a commenter from X.

Some are making fun of the man for effectively being a male Karen and someone who doesn’t even know how cement mixers work, and thinks he knows better than the professionals using them. “This Describes That Male Karen, looney, looney, looney,” claims a TikTok commenter, with another calling the man a racist, “Racism is crazy.”

In any case, many have agreed that what the male Karen did was bad not just for business, but for the economy as a whole. “Notice they are never threatening to call ICE on people just sitting around. All these immigrants are working and adding to our GDP,” claims another commenter.
