I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: bad neighbors are one of the worst things to possibly deal with in life. There isn’t a whole lot you’re able to do if you’re at odds with one another, and civil disputes aren’t seen as too important in the eyes of the law. In Idaho, a woman experienced her neighbor’s wrath after being visited and yelled at through her doorbell camera for allegedly walking too loudly after arriving home from work. It’s honestly pretty ridiculous the lengths that some people will go just to terrorize other people’s lives.
The above video was posted to the TikTok account @lovelydest2, which is owned by a young woman named Des who really just uses the account to post about her daily life. However, this time around, she posted who she says is her downstairs neighbor, beating down on her door to discuss the alleged noise she had been making when she arrived home earlier.
According to the caption under the video, “This lady has yelled at me from her apartment everyday almost just for living. I have never vacuumed past our quiet hours. She yells when I am simply walking around my apartment. The floors are thin and you’re going to hear things. I get to hear my upstairs neighbor yet I’m not the one banging on my neighbors door 🤷♀️.”
Des even uploaded a video from the point of view of the camera she already had inside her apartment, showcasing exactly what kind of ‘noise’ she had been making. You can see her softly walk from one room to another, not making any more noise than normal.
Upset Neighbor Knocks On Door Just to Argue
The same video also shows the moment the neighbor began pounding on her room so that Des could hear it. In retaliation, Des stomped on the floor herself and yelled at the woman to “grow up,” which is probably what really provoked her to go upstairs and argue in the first place.
Tons of commenters rushed to the comments to agree with Des, with one person focusing on what the neighbor looked like, saying, “The hair was all I needed to see 😅🤦🏻♀️.” Other replies made mention of the fact that apartments are built next to one another, implying that noise is going to leak through, with one person even saying, “Don’t get a downstairs apartment if you can’t handle any noise lol.”
Personally, I think one of the funniest comments is actually a reply to a different comment someone made, saying, how did she even climb the stairs,” to which Des replies, “Very loudly, I heard every step and that’s how I knew not to answer the door lol🤣” I would hope that this neighbor will know better than to behave the way she did if she’s actually hoping to have a civil conversation with someone next time.
