Most times, waiting in line for anything could get really frustrating, but a man in Illinois gave a whole new definition to impatience as he walked right up to a couple’s car to challenge them for waiting for their food at a Taco Bell drive-thru. Apparently frustrated by having to wait behind them for a few minutes, the man repeatedly honked his horn, as seen in a TikTok video.
He then approached their car and demanded to know why they had been there for so long. The person in the passenger seat recorded the entire exchange, and the clip was posted. The altercation continued for a while before they began recording. “…So we can all get the [expletive] out of here?” the impatient man said, sarcastically waving at the camera, “Hi.” The woman immediately responded, “[expletive] you,” to which the man flipped his middle-finger at her. The man in the car asked him to return to his vehicle, explaining that they were waiting just like he was. “Should I?” the disgruntled customer asked, “You’ve been waiting here for [expletive] twenty minutes.” The man in the car asked if he was the person preparing the food, and the other man responded that he did not care about that.
As soon as the employee tried to give the already prepared food to the owner, the man standing outside snatched it and tossed it into the car, “Bye bye,” he repeated several times in a sing-song voice. “What’s your [expletive] name you [expletive] [expletive]?” the woman asked. “Your papa,” the man responded. Just as the couple was irritated by the man’s behavior, many TikTok users shared the same sentiment and wasted no time stating it in the comments.
“Is this really our society now???” one user wrote, while another noted, “There are way too many firearms in this country and not enough health insurance to be walking up to people’s cars like that.” A TikToker remarked, “Most of us would’ve got arrested that day,” while another wrote, “Should have told the employee to remake it because he touched it.”
One netizen joked, “Jesus himself could have made me move after that. I’m rolling up the windows, eating, and taking a nap.” Another pointed out, “Why is he mad at people waiting? They don’t control how long the food takes.” Many others had an issue with the man grabbing the couple’s food. “He had no business touching other people’s food,” one stated. “The second he grabbed your food, that was theft,” someone else said.
“That’s assault,” one user noted. “That dude could catch a charge for that kind of behavior.” While the last person said, “As soon as his hand reached into your car, it is GO TIME.”
