The holidays can be a tough time for everyone, and there will always be people rushing to get things done. Unfortunately, that also means that there are people who crumble under this kind of pressure and take it out on everyone around them. In Arizona, various Jack in the Box employees felt the wrath of a middle-aged man who didn’t want to wait for his DoorDash driver to get his food from the drive-thru. What’s the point in ordering if you aren’t going to wait?
The above video was posted to TikTok by a former Jack in the Box employee who happened to be working at the restaurant on Christmas Eve. She typically posts about her daily life on the account, though things took a bit of a turn with this one. The entire video is from her point of view from inside the restaurant, as a middle-aged man can be seen arguing with the staff.
Apparently, the man had ordered food on the DoorDash delivery app and was upset about the length of time he had been waiting. Instead of taking it up with his order’s driver or calling the restaurant, he showed up to try and enter the lobby. Unfortunately, the lobby was closed, and the restaurant was only taking drive-thru orders, since it was Christmas Eve.
This then prompted the ensuing argument, with the staff and the Arizona man going back and forth about how the DoorDash system works. It’s incredible to see the man refuse to back down because he didn’t want to wait in line alongside everyone else who also wanted to get food.
Impatient Arizona Man Yells at Fast Food Workers
Things get particularly heated when it almost appears as though the man was raising his hand to try and hit one of the employees. Fortunately, that doesn’t happen, but the thought of it is truly terrifying.
As the argument goes on, the man finally decides to give up and leave the employees alone, attempting to slam the door in the process. A lot of people latched on to this particular part of the video, with one person saying, “he tried to slam the door but its slow closing 😭😭😭😭😭.”
Many commenters took to the replies to condemn the man’s behavior, with a ton of comments being something along the lines of, “grown man btw.” Honestly, it never fails to amaze me when people aren’t expecting particular outcomes and have fits about it, as though the world truly revolves around them
Fortunately, the man left before the situation could escalate any further. The fact that a different person was standing behind the man implies that there were many other people also waiting for food. So, he definitely wasn’t the only person who was likely upset.
