There are a lot of hills that I’m willing to die on because I truly believe in them. However, I’m not willing to go to great lengths just to embarrass myself in front of the entire internet. That wasn’t the case for one Florida woman, who decided it was best to sit down in an empty parking spot to discourage other drivers from pulling in. Honestly, it’s the behavior that I’ve come to expect from Floridians at this point.
The above video was posted to the TikTok account @kristenmajestichowell, which is run by a dog breeder named Kristen. Her posts are typically tied to her California poodle and labradoodle breeding company, but that’s clearly not the case this time around. In the above, you can see her recording a woman who’s seated in a parking space and blocking a car from entering it.
From the looks of things, it appears that the woman wanted the space and tried holding onto it by taking a seat. However, since that isn’t how parking spots work, someone likely saw the empty space from further away, pulled in closer, saw that there wasn’t a car there, and tried parking.
The video does involve two cars vying for the space, with Kristen appearing to be a bit further away. So, it is unclear if she was involved separately in a third vehicle, or if she was with any of the aforementioned two.
Deranged Florida Woman Refuses to Give Up Parking Space
Instead of getting up and realizing that she just won’t be able to park in the space, she decides to make a rude gesture at Kristen and claim that she doesn’t wish to be filmed. Unfortunately, a person can’t expect that kind of privacy in a public space. She’ll just have to see the video on the internet after the fact.
People in the comments definitely felt the same way, with many all agreeing that if they were in the driver’s position, they wouldn’t have relented either. One of the most-liked comments like this said, “The way I’d park my car right there and leave. 😂😂😂.” A personal favorite of mine said, “I would’ve turned off my car and sat there until I died.”
The video ends without knowing who ended up getting into the space. However, I think we can all agree that a parking space isn’t worth opening up TikTok and finding a video of yourself doing that in public.
