It’s been zero days without a Karen incident in 2026, and we’re just starting. Indeed, if you thought we’d have at least a Karen-free week or month, think again, because the first one appeared in Red Rock Canyon, Nevada. According to the video, this annoying woman started an argument because another lady beat her to a photo spot. Instead of handling it like an adult and waiting for the other lady to finish taking her picture, she decided to get on the rock, throw an eye-rolling speech, and inaugurate what will likely be another Karen-riddled year.
The video begins with the Karen already arguing with the poor lady sitting on the rock. According to the video, the woman in red “touched” the Karen while the latter tried to take a picture. However, the victim screams that the Karen kicked her before the video started rolling.
The Karen continues to argue with the woman, asking her if she’s ignorant because she was rude and obnoxious. The crowd asks the Karen to get down, and you can even hear a man in the background saying, “Honey, let it go. Honey, get down.” We imagine that’s the poor husband who is suffering from this cringeworthy display.
The Karen continues to yell at the lady, who is pretty chill throughout the exchange and doesn’t really fall for this annoying woman’s trap.
When things start to look a bit better, as the Karen quiets down and starts posing for her picture, she snaps and then sits next to the woman in red. The Karen then starts yelling at her, and the other lady, in retaliation, seems to spit on her face. Shocked, the Karen starts screaming even louder, getting in the other woman’s face, until the victim finally gets away from this harasser. However, the one who started the argument continues giving her speech on the rock, but by now, it seems people have lost all interest.
Many people saw this first Karen of 2026 and decided to give her a piece of their mind.
“Does she realize how unhinged she looks? Nobody is going to be on your side when you act like this,” said one user.
“I hope she knew that actively getting on someone’s face and causing fear could be considered assault,” commented another user.
Ultimately, it seems this was yet another main-character-syndrome situation, which, sadly, is a common occurrence in the country. While we’d love for these people to stop arguing in public and harassing others, the truth is that we know it will continue to happen. But here’s hoping for a 2026 with at least fewer Karens.
