Pennsylvania Dad Trolls Young Son With Fake News Report Saying He Robbed a Store: ‘Ain’t No Way He Blamed the Neighbor’

Guilty as charged.

In a classic example of a father pranking the bejesus out of his own kid, a dad in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, decided to take things to a whole new level. Aided by a fake news report, he outed his son as a supposed store thief. The young boy, unfazed, placed blame on his neighbor.

The hilarious interaction was posted on TikTok by user randalandray. Randal, the father, began recording his son, Ray, as they both watched what was supposed to be a legit newscast. The anchor details in his report that Lancaster police were on the lookout for a suspect who had robbed a store.

Things turned dramatic as the news anchor was shown being interrupted through his earpiece, apparently being told that they had a photo of the culprit. The photo was unveiled, and the suspect was no other than the young Ray, who was left speechless as he saw himself in the news.

The young bloke, however, never appeared to be overly concerned with the realization that he was a wanted man, or boy. In fact, he straight-up denied robbing a store when prompted by his father.

The Neighbor Did It

Ray became momentarily concerned as he was confronted by his father, saying, “I don’t want to be in jail.” Nevertheless, he denied being the Pennsylvania store thief, adding that it was “someone else.” To add fuel to the fire, the young Ray even blamed “the neighbor,” who was wearing the same jacket as him.

His so-called alibi wouldn’t stand a chance in cross-examination, as the suspect looked exactly like Ray. Fortunately, the young boy has a solution for such a predicament: “I’m gonna tell them it wasn’t me. I don’t even know why he looked like me.“

Randal then told Ray that the police were already outside to get him. The father then immediately told his son that it was a prank. The young Ray, despite the revelation, showed he didn’t find it funny, refusing to fist-bump his dad.

The clip garnered almost 280K likes and short of one thousand comments. The overwhelming majority found Ray’s nonchalant reaction priceless.

“Ain’t no way he blamed the neighbor,” one user commented. Another one said, “Bro already starting 2026 in a rough way.” A third one added, “Oh my gosh, he looks so sad, and then he blames the neighbours.”

This young Pennsylvania boy will probably never trust the media ever again. In retrospect, that may be the smartest way to move forward.
