Sometimes, true love shows itself in the most unexpected ways. That person you’ve spent day in and day out with in school, at work, or your favorite public places could actually turn out to be your soulmate. Two California women make the perfect example of the friends-to-lovers scenario. Now, they’re sharing a TikTok video one what they did as friends that, in retrospect, were signs they were meant to be an item.

The two lovebirds, Jess and Danielle, share affection with one another as much as they share their TikTok account, Jess.and.danielle. One of their most recent was captioned: “‘Casual’ things we did as friends before dating,” and some of it sounds pretty normal. They cancelled plans to hang out with each other, find excuses to have sleepovers, and joked about dating each other. It was their way of getting men to back off.

Suddenly, they started spending all their time together. This included texting one another throughout the day, constantly involving the other in their life. On top of that, both of them had their own lives and work hours. However, if one of them asked them to come over, they’d throw their plans aside and say, “Yup, on my way!” (Being married to my best friend, this is all sounding so familiar!)

As Jess and Danielle soon realized, the “signs were there,” and how lucky they are. For some people, it never goes further than that—what you’d consider an obvious choice. For others, things continue to get more intense and involved just like what happened for Jess and Danielle. You can tell they love spending time with each other and they were meant to fall in love!

One thing I noticed when watching these two is the eye contact they have and their loving attitude toward each other. “How yall look at each other is so sweet im manifesting this,” one person said. I’m sharing my energy, too!

Others shared they, too, do all these things with friends—some of which stayed friends and some of which led to love. One commenter asked, “Wait, is this not normal friendship?? I’ve done everything described and more with my bestie.”

Another wanted all the heartwarming tea, “Ok I’m obsessed. When and WHO made the first move? Part 2? Please,” they said.

Special friendships don’t necessarily have to be anything but platonic love, but it is important to be honest. Your other half could be the person you’ve been having so much fun with all along, just like Jess and Danielle.
