Xbox Game Studios just executed a triple combo during the New Game Plus showcase. Three of its games are getting major updates this year. If you don’t know which games we’re talking about, they are Avowed, Grounded 2, and Towerborne, all of which are getting a lot of content in the following months. So, if you missed the announcements or just want a quick summary of what’s coming to these titles, we’ve got it all covered right here.
Avowed Is Finally Coming to PS5
Let’s start with one of the most unique RPGs of last year: Avowed. This game has received several improvements since launch, many of them born from community feedback. However, 2026 might be Avowed‘s biggest year. For starters, it will land on PS5 on February 17th, with the anniversary update. This update will include new game plus, which resets your character to level 1, carries your gear over, and adds modified enemies to your adventure. It will also bring three playable races, which were highly requested by players.
So, if you want a second playthrough or have been waiting for this RPG to arrive on another platform, mark your calendar because February will be the perfect month to don the outfit of the Envoy again, or for the first time.
New Biome, Buggy, Weapons, and Armor Coming to Grounded 2
Grounded 2 has been slowly but steadily growing since it launched on Early Access, and the New Game Plus showcase gave us some juicy details about what’s next for this survival title. For starters, there’s a brand-new biome coming, and with every new biome, you can expect a lot of things to gather, discover, but also many new enemies to fight. But that’s not all, because a friendly buggy is also coming, and the one joining the ranks is the Ladybug. Naturally, with new additions, players will also be able to obtain weapons and armor, such as sets from Wasps and Black Ants.
Towerborne Exits Early Access on February 26
After what we could consider a relatively short early access period, Towerborne is finally coming out of early access. Players will get to experience the full version on February 26, alongside a massive update. For starters, Towerborne is shifting to offline mode and a buy-once model. The story will now be complete, so all gamers can enjoy it from start to finish, with plenty of new cosmetics, better difficulty modes, and more encounters. So, if you didn’t try this one when it launched on early access, its full launch will blow you away.
With the updates for Avowed, Grounded 2, and Towerborne, Xbox Game Studios is raising the curtain and unveiling what seems to be a promising gaming year. So, if you’ve been away from all three titles or have left them in your backlog, you’ll have the perfect excuse to jump into all three vastly different adventures soon.
