New York Woman Recounts When Drag Race Saved Her From Fainting Spell, ‘You Basically Lipsynced For Your Life’

That’s actually pretty funny

There are so many popular reality television and competition shows that it can be a little hard to catch up with all of them. However, for some people, it’s just a matter of remembering exactly who did and reacted to what. Fortunately for one New York woman, that’s exactly what saved her from fainting at the gym and potentially hitting her head on something.

She recounts having remembered an incredibly important detail about one of the most recent episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race and even goes so far as to thank the particular person whom she thought back to before actually fainting in the women’s locker room.

thank you @RuPaul’s Drag Race and importantly @Briar Blush for saving me today #rupaul #drag #dragrace #briarblush #storytime #fyp

The above video was posted to the TikTok account @missbeifong, which is run by a woman who goes by the name Squid. On her account, she typically posts about all things entertainment and trending news, which doesn’t come as much of a surprise, especially as she talks about routinely attending Hanukah Lewinsky’s Drag Race viewing parties.

She talks about how a more recent episode, a Queen named Briar Blush had a medical emergenc in which she fainted while performing. During the commercial break, Hanukah went around the room and asked people about their fainting stories, recounting that she herself has fainted almost five times, and alleges that when one is about to faint, they’ll typically be able to tell in advance.

Squid was listening to this information and taking it all in as someone who had never fainted before. Little did she know just how important some of the information Hanukah shared would be when she would have a similar medical emergency only a week later.

Apparently, while at the women’s locker room at the gym, Squid had thought she was going to faint. Because she had never fainted before, Hanukah’s comment about how a person knows they are going to faint in advance rushed through her brain, and she called out to everyone in the room. Fortunately, someone came to her side and was able to help her down before anything worse could happen.

The comments left under the video are hilarious, with one person saying that, “you basically lipsynced for your life.” What’s even funnier is that Briar Blush herself also commented on the video, saying, “Omg I’m glad you’re okay!” It’s a good thing that nothing more serious happened, and I hope that the fainting spell isn’t something that happens again.
