It’s incredibly interesting to be alive in a decade where protests against the federal government happen near daily, and people are being kidnapped on the streets. Unfortunately, that’s the reality in the United States of America. It’s a good thing that a few lovely citizens in Los Angeles, California, had decided to take matters into their own hands at a local International Customs Enforcement office.
Hundreds of people who felt as though ICE had been occupying their local resources and taking their neighbors’ resources thought that enough was enough, and completely trashed a local ICE office. The footage really shows what lengths these people went to in order to make sure they were heard and seen.
The above video was taken from a vantage point above an ICE facility in Los Angeles, California, where various protestors can be seen throwing garbage and vandalizing the building. You can also see a large red dumpster just in front of the building doors, littered with all kinds of garbage, making it difficult for anyone inside to get out. It’s a good thing no one wants them out anyway.
Even with all of this destruction, protestors can be seen still defacing the building and spray painting all sorts of expletives on its walls. The commenters below were also shocked at this, with one person plainly saying, “Damn, Los Angeles ain’t fuckin around.”
Others were far more receptive to the message being said with all the destruction, commenting, “This is what action looks like.” This particular post even sparked a comment of its own from someone agreeing and saying, “I’m kinda surprised but proud of the american protesters.”
Los Angeles, California Protestors Vandalize Local ICE Office
The country has been seeing a large number of protestors after the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minnesota. So, this behavior isn’t exactly a surprise and is all but expected to happen at some point.
However, it means that the fighting spirit hasn’t yet been quelled, and even commenters are agreeing, with one of the very top comments saying, “Oh, I thought we left you the French spirit in Louisiana, but it’s actually most alive in California it seems. Best of luck mates, good on you for doing something about this madness!“
I’m glad no one in the video appears to be harmed, and I can only hope these protests become less frequent.
