‘It’s a Yoga Mat Disguised as Bread:’ Missouri Senator Raises Alarm After Aldi Bread Sitting in His Office for 2.5 Years Allegedly Has No Mold

What are we putting in our bodies?

The staple food of bread in Missouri appears to have an unusually long shelf life, as a senator made a shocking revelation about a loaf that has remained intact for over two years.

The lawmaker stood in his office holding the loaf, showing that it was still in good condition in a TikTok video. “This is a loaf of bread from Aldi that was purchased over two and a half years ago. And it’s been in this office as an experiment, you can use it as an accordion, smash it up.” He said as he pressed the loaf, adding that even “Eric,” another man who was present in the office, could testify to its longevity.

He then recorded a close-up of the loaf and said, “No mold, it smells fine, you can smash it down, and it will come right back up,” as he demonstrated. “What the hell is our food? We are gonna work on legislation to provide information on what we are putting in our bodies,” he said, emphasizing that they were determined to investigate further.

The comment section was visibly stunned as users reacted.

“It’s a yoga mat disguised as bread,” someone mocked. Another questioned the difference in food ingredients: “Why can’t we have the same ingredients in our food that they have in other countries? Why all the added ingredients? They make us sick to keep big pharmaceutical companies making money this is why!”

This netizen fired off firmly, “Congress, FDA HAS FAILED AMERICA,” while another wrote, “Our government is poisoning us for years.” Another added, “Not only are we slaves to our government; we are now guinea pigs to our government.” A commenter pointed out how difficult it might be for the body to break down such food: “It really makes you wonder what our bodies are actually processing when the ‘food’ refuses to break down naturally.”

This user joked, “Even our bread has no term limits 🤣.” One person stressed the need for transparency about what people consume: “If a product is so chemically altered that it defies basic biology, consumers have a right to know what they’re ingesting.”

“You notice how the older generation that was raised on homegrown foods and gardens lives past their 80s, but the new generation is dropping like flies in their 40s?” wrote another, arguing that life expectancy is declining among younger people.

“Not surprised at this one bit. The government has been poisoning us for years via the food industry, FDA, CDC, etc,” someone commented, while another added, “we just need to join the rest of the world….. their government cares what they eat.”
