In today’s episode of “bad drivers” we sadly have to go to the state of Massachusetts to talk about one of the most questionable, irresponsible, and infuriating drivers we’ve seen this year. Look, when you take your car to a car wash, you bring it without anything on it. There’s a reason why you even have to roll up your windows and remove everything from the cargo bed. But no. It seems some people don’t know about this, because this driver thought it was a good idea to enter the car wash’s loading area with a full roll of wire, which badly damaged the business.
The video found its way to the r/WhatCouldGoWrong subreddit, which is quite fitting given the situation. In the video, you can see a driver enter the loading area of a car wash in Massachusetts with a large roll of wire. As you can imagine, this didn’t go well: as soon as the car wash started, the wire got tangled and destroyed everything in its path.
You can actually see how the video focuses on the cargo bed, which now has just a bit of wire, then shifts to the car wash, where the wire has already destroyed some of the rollovers. The facepalm-inducing situation doesn’t end here: the one filming points at the rollover, showing just how entangled the wire is with the machine, and it looks like removing it all won’t be easy.
If that wasn’t enough, other parts of the video show that the wire reached several other parts of the car wash, getting stuck with some pieces of equipment.
As you can imagine, the collective facepalm was heard across the internet, and people weren’t kind enough with the irresponsible driver.

At the time of writing, it is unclear what happened with the car wash, but many imagine it will sue the person to pay for all the damage their roll of wire caused. Also, a few mention that this is bad for the business, as car washes usually have a lot of customers during snowy seasons, but this one will have to pause operations until the equipment is fixed. We just hope they find a way to reopen soon and also charge the driver for all the chaos they brought.
