Bandai Namco recently released a lengthy new trailer for the upcoming game New Gundam Breaker. The trailer begins with a mention of Zeta Gundam protagonist, Kamille Bidan. It then goes on to explain and expand on several of the game’s modes and features. You can check out the trailer below. Clocking in at over twelve minutes, it can definitely be called comprehensive.

NEW GUNDAM BREAKER - 3RD TRAILER - WHAT'S NEW? MORE MODES REVEALED

For the uninitiated, this is the newest entry in a series of games that are based on the model kits that in turn are based on the long-running anime franchise Gundam. These models are referred to as Gunpla, and there is quite a large following for them and as a result, for these games. The trailer introduces us to Solo Mode, which would seem to be the game’s single-player story mode, we also got to see the 3-on-3 Team Battles which seem exciting.

By far the most interesting part they showed off was the customization, both real-time and between battles. This new system gives you the ability to swap parts in and out in real-time during battles. Outside of battle the high level of customization is very impressive. You can tweak so many of your Gunpla’s parts and even swap out its internal frame. This along with cosmetic changes really allows you to create something truly unique.

New Gundam Breaker is the first game in the series to be developed using the Unreal 4 Engine, and it really shows. The models and environments look amazing. This is a Gundam fan’s dream. Namco Bandai also let us know that New Gundam Breaker will have over 100 different Mobile Suit models available and they will be adding over 100 more as free DLC updates after launch.

New Gundam Breaker will be available on June 22nd for PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. We will bring you more news on the title as it becomes available.
