She’s completely out of line

When you move to a new neighborhood, you hope that the new faces you meet will be friendly. There’s nothing better than a neighborhood that feels like a close community. Unfortunately, not everybody gets to experience this when neighbors feel they have to be busybodies. This is exactly what one Tennessee woman is facing after she moved from Arizona to her new home state. The degree of Karenhood she deals with daily is out of this world.

Birdie (@freebird1794) shared a TikTok video of what happened when she answered the door to her new house in Tennessee. This mother of three just moved from Arizona to Tennessee and is less than impressed with what she’s experienced in her new neighborhood so far. Apparently, she’s had several interactions with none other than the neighborhood Karen. When she opens her door, this woman is already ranting to her about how everybody in the neighborhood “respects” one another, and they’re “all friends.” Birdie wonders what this has to do with anything she’s done. She’s been living here for such a short amount of time that a U-Haul is still outside her driveway.

One thing that’s been happening. She’s been “quiet” since this but .her fence guys have been active and I’m watching. Other drama coming soon…. Unfortunately…. Screenshots included next for other drama #karen #bikerchick #memphis #judgemental #neighborfromhell

The Karen tells Birdie that their neighborhood respects“noise level” and is always there for one another. She then explains that she’s no longer “comfortable” with Birdie. Why? Apparently, she hasn’t made her house look like a home yet, even though they just moved in. Other things she points out are that their dogs don’t get along and that Birdie’s mother called her “nuts.” She tells Birdie, “I don’t want to be mean to you, I really don’t. I like people. I’m a retired psychologist.” As she goes on her unhinged rant, she explains, “I’m getting nervous with the noise and things not working right. It appears that you feel like you can do pretty much whatever you want to around here without asking.” Birdie asks, “So I have to ask for permission to do anything in my own house?”

The conversation truly goes on for too long. When Birdie tells the apparent neighborhood patrol, Karen, that she’s been trying to be nice to everyone since she moved in, it doesn’t go as she expects. The woman berates Birdie for their moving vans being in and out of the area and for Birdie having a motorcycle. Eventually, Birdie tells her in the middle of her rant, “I don’t want to leave my house because of you.” She even tells the Karen, “I have no idea what you’re going to do. You scare me.” You really can’t blame her for feeling this way after such a strange and threatening conversation. It appears that Birdie isn’t going to be comfortable in this neighborhood when the neighbors act like this.

Birdie tells the neighbor that she would “appreciate if you do not come back on my property. If you need to talk to me, call the police. And then you can have a conversation with me.” The woman calls Birdie “rude” as she goes back inside her house, then proceeds to leave her yard. It probably won’t be the last she hears from her.

One commenter stated, “She’s quietly threatening you.” Another commenter shared, “She is the most dangerous type bc she is realizing she can’t control you and she is accustomed to controlling people. She’s a psychologist which means she’s an expert at it.” It’s like one of those Karen neighbor situations that you see on a Netflix documentary, for real.
