A man who visited a Whataburger in Houston, Texas, ended up getting kicked out after he completely lost his cool on employees while waiting for his food to come out. The incident was caught on camera by another customer and shows him making a scene in front of everyone else waiting for their orders.
For most of the time, he kept raising his voice at the staff as they worked, accusing them of not knowing how to do their jobs. But according to the person filming, the man hadn’t even been waiting that long. She claimed he had only been there for “like three minutes” before he started going off.
A manager later stepped out from the back and confronted him directly, telling him to repeat what he had just said. And just like that, the energy shifted. Despite all the yelling he had been doing from a distance, the man noticeably toned things down when speaking face-to-face with the manager. He still complained, but his voice dropped, and the intensity wasn’t quite the same.
He Was All Alone in His Feelings
Trying to get the rest of the customers to back him up, he gestured toward them while telling the manager that they were upset about the wait too. But instead of joining in, people stayed quiet, leaving him to stand there on his own.
The manager decided enough was enough when the customer refused to calm down. He told him to leave the restaurant, and when the man didn’t, he threatened to call the police for trespassing.
The man kept arguing but slowly started backing away toward the door. Even while stepping out, he looked around at the other customers like he was waiting for someone to agree with him, but no one did. It quickly became clear that whatever frustration people may have had about the wait, they didn’t think his reaction was justified.
It also appeared he wasn’t alone. A woman believed to be with him quietly walked out after they were asked to leave, choosing not to get involved at all. Before finally leaving for good, the man lingered near the entrance, still huffing and puffing, and threw up a middle finger toward the manager before getting into his car parked right in front of the restaurant.
The Texas Customer Was Ridiculed By Netizens
People online seemed to agree that the Texas man’s reaction was over the top. “Customer ain’t always right,” one netizen commented. “I’ve never gotten that mad about food,” another wrote. “When did it become ok to disrespect people at work,” a third said. “No fast food is worth getting this emotionally invested in,” a fourth added.
Some also found it funny that he looked to others for backup, with one person asking, “Why is he speaking for everyone?” while another joked, “Why he looking at yall to back him up?😂😂”
