The Guardian Games of 2026 have started, and like every other yearly event in Destiny 2, there’s a quest tied to it. If you’re a new player joining the festivities, you should know that the Best in Class quest is the one that happens in every Guardian Games event, but now, we have its 2026 edition for Destiny 2. While it is short, some players might want to know the exact steps of how to complete it, which is why we’ve made a quick guide for it.

Best in Class (2026) Quest Guide

The Best in Class quest in Destiny 2 is quite simple and serves as a tutorial for players joining the Guardian Games. While you can skip it and just start playing, we recommend doing it, as you’ll get some starting gear, your Medallion case, and some Engrams.

Step 1: Grab the Quest from Eva Levante in the Tower

Open your Portal and head to the Tower to speak with Eva Levante. You’ll get the quest and your event’s Cloak.

Step 2: Use the Glimmer that Eva gave you to purchase a Card

Once you grab the Cloak, head to the Event’s tab and grab any of the bounties, which, for the Guardian Games, are called Cards. You can only have one of each, and every Card will give you a random objective for either PvE or PvP activities. You can check the exact objective in your quest log.

Step 3: Equip your Guardian Games Class Item and Complete an Activity

Head to your inventory and equip your Cloak, then either participate in Rushdown, Rushdown Remix, or Supremacy. You only need to complete the activity, not win it, in the case of PvP.

Step 4: Speak with Eva Levante in the Tower

After completing any of the event activities, head to the Tower and speak with Eva.

Step 5: Deposit your Medallion at the Guardian Games podium in the Tower Courtyard

Head to the podium behind Eva and look for your class’s icon on the wall, and then deposit your Medallion.

Step 6: Speak with Commander Zavala at the Tower Courtyard

Head to where Commander Zavala is behind the Podium and talk to him to receive the Shoot to Score quest.

Step 7: Speak with Lord Shaxx in the Tower

Speak with Lord Shaxx at the usual location to receive the PvP-oriented event quest.

Step 8: Speak with Eva Levante once more

To complete the quest and get your Guardian Games Engram, head to where Eva is and talk to her.

After this, you’re free to pursue your Cards objectives or the two quests that you grabbed through the tutorial. On top of that, the Top of Class exotic quest will unlock, which is something you can pursue while this limited-time event is happening.
