We all know that politicians almost always tend to say things that make other people raise their eyebrows in doubt, and one of these political figures who is under the wrong spotlight is none other than Senator Cynthia Lummis from Wyoming. During a recent interview, the Senator expressed her concern for people turning to subsidized food programs. However, despite her attempt to show concern and worry, Redditors and several Wyoming residents didn’t buy it, which turned the situation on Lummis.

Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-WY): We had record distributions in my county in Wyoming of Meals on Wheels, which is an indication that more and more people are turning to subsidized food opportunities. So I’m worried, and I admit that. But for now, I have patience.

The interview comes from Scott MacFarlane News, who shared a clip of Sen. Cynthia Lummis discussing her concern about record distributions of Meals on Wheels.

We had record distributions in my county in Wyoming of Meals on Wheels, which is an indication that more and more people are turning to subsidized food opportunities. So I’m worried, and I admit that. But for now, I have patience.

While Senator Lummis admits she’s worried about people turning to Meals on Wheels, Redditors, and Wyoming residents didn’t buy her comments, as many believe she’s just posing to look good and doesn’t care about citizens at all.

Wyoming Residents Are Not Buying Senator Lummis’ Latest Comments

Even if her comments might have had a good intention, people saw it the other way, turning this seemingly positive situation into something negative for this Wyoming representative. As you can see in some Reddit comments, people quickly turned on the Senator and shared a few unfriendly opinions about her.

“She’s not worried. She doesn’t care about the working class.“

“Taking a page out of Susan Collins’s book, I see.“

Beyond that, others are heavily criticizing Lummis, claiming that she is not doing her job well lately, noting that some of these issues could be resolved faster if she did things differently instead of just worrying about what is happening in the state.

“She’s given up even responding to emails and calls without multiple follow-ups, and even then, she just parrots the White House, well, all three of our senators, and representatives do.“

“It is good to have patience. Having the patience to endure things you can help change is stupidity. Almost all of the problems Americans are experiencing are unnecessary.“

As you can see, things aren’t looking great for Senator Lummis, and, according to many, this last interview didn’t help her at all. Furthermore, several residents believe she’s giving up, as “being patient” isn’t the same as taking action, and people would love for the Senator and other representatives to do more of the latter.
