Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly posted on X criticizing the Trump administration, stating that “from the top down, this administration is flailing” as Americans struggle with gas and grocery prices, and claiming Trump “has made it worse by starting a war with no plan for how to end it.”

The message quickly drew strong reactions online, with supporters defending the president’s approach and accusing Kelly of undermining U.S. strategy. The post has sparked debate over economic conditions and foreign policy decisions.

In the video, Sen. Mark Kelly states that the administration is “flailing from the top down,” from the president to the secretary of defense. He says they lack a strategic goal, plan, timeline, or exit strategy in the current conflict, adding that the goal should include reopening the Strait of Hormuz, which he notes was open in February.

Kelly links the situation to rising gasoline, diesel, and food prices, claiming Americans “can’t afford their lives” and that the president and secretary of defense have made it “a lot worse.”

Online Reactions to Sen. Mark Kelly’s Video.

Some users challenged Kelly’s statements on fuel prices, with one writing: “Fuel prices at the pump still have not reached the Biden years! Where was your outrage in 2022/2023?”

Others defended the administration’s strategy and criticized the senator directly. One commenter said: “Pretty sure you weren’t invited into the War Department’s planning and strategy meetings, so… STFU you moron. You haven’t a clue what Trump’s plans are.” Another replied: “Unlike a traitor like you, Mr. Kelly, President Trump isn’t compelled to release national secrets, war strategy…”

Trump supporters pushed back sharply, with one commenting: “Come on, Mark, stop acting like a pathetic loser….You know Trump and our country will prevail.”

Supporters of Kelly echoed his critique, with one writing: “Exactly, Senator. From the top down, this administration is crushing it so hard that gas and groceries are now luxury items, and we’ve kicked off a shiny new war with literally zero plan to end it. The American people can barely afford all this incredible winning. Truly a masterclass in leadership — no plan at all except chaos. Thanks for the accurate take!”

The post continues to generate discussion on X, with users weighing in on U.S. economic pressures and foreign policy decisions. The clip has added to broader online debate surrounding the Trump administration’s early actions.
