A video has been going viral on TikTok of a woman alleging that a North Carolina AT&T employee has been using her account to pay for an additional line for over two months. The story was posted in various parts, detailing the events from a first-person perspective while inside the store to resolve the issue. TikTok users went into the comments to share their opinions, while some shared personal accounts of similar experiences.
The video above is one of several detailing how a woman confronted an employee for using her account to pay for an additional line for over two months. While the situation itself reportedly happened over a year ago, the victim alleges that nothing has since been done, now taking her evidence to TikTok.
In the video above, the victim appears to be inside an AT&T store getting help for the situation. On the video is text that reads, “the time that the AT&T employee hacked my account and had me paying for her phone bill 🙄.”
In another video, she shows how, while in the store, she spoke with someone alleging to be both the father of the woman who reportedly used her account and the store manager. In this video, you can hear the aggressive tone that the man takes when the woman brings up speaking to his daughter, the employee accused of doing this.
To that, he replies with, “I’ll get you out the [expletive] store. Try me. Try me.” He then ends the conversation by speaking with the employee who was also present and saying, “Alexis, call the police right now and have her trespassed.”
Reactions to AT7T Employee Allegedly Using North Carolina Woman’s Account to Pay for Line
Users took to the replies to share their opinions, with some instead giving their own experience of something similar happening to them. One person even wrote, “I used to work AT&T, always always check your bill. We were told to add stuff to your bill when you’re not looking.” There is no confirmation that this is a standard AT&T practice.
“I would sue her,” said another. In the same vein, another person wrote, “I wonder if Verizon doing this to me.. cus no reason 2 phones should be almost $700.. thats crazy.”
The incident was confirmed as having been reported to the police, with the victim alleging that she has not yet received any information about the employee who did this to her.
