Never thought I’d see this.

U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren posted on X praising a Fox News report on President Trump’s White House ballroom renovation, stating, “I don’t say this often, but Fox News got this exactly right.”

The Massachusetts Democrat, a longtime critic of the network, shared the comment on Sunday, prompting widespread reactions online over her unusual agreement with Fox News on the controversial project. The post, which includes a video clip, has fueled debate among users questioning the context of the funding and Warren’s shift in tone.

The video shows Warren seated in a vehicle, wearing a seatbelt and speaking directly to the camera. She states that she does not often agree with Fox News but that the network “got it exactly right” on Trump’s ballroom. Overlaid graphics from a Fox News Politics segment describe a reported “price tag flip,” noting that the ballroom was touted as privately funded but that Republicans were including $1 billion in taxpayer money in a funding bill.

The post text just repeats her main line from the video. The clip also shows graphics from other news sources talking about the funding change, before Warren ends by asking for donations to Democratic state parties.

Online Reactions to Massachusetts Sen. Warren’s X Post

Some users questioned Warren’s consistency, with one asking: “Real question: If Elizabeth Warren, who literally boycotted Fox News as a ‘racist hate machine,’ is now praising them publicly… Does that make Fox News biased, or does it make Warren a hypocrite?”

Others challenged the facts presented in the clip, writing: “Actually, Senator, that $1 billion was put forward for security features, not cosmetic updates. Perhaps you should do some research before blabbering on X about something that you know nothing about.”

Many replies accused Warren of hypocrisy and selective outrage, including: “You aren’t sick and tired of corruption, though. Just this corruption. You tolerate so much corruption, except for this corruption. That is the reason you are all going to be on the same side during the revolution.”

Many others criticized Warren’s focus, with comments such as: “Don’t you have more important things to do than complain about a ballroom and Trump? Go do your “[expletive]” job. What is your problem?” and “Nobody cares. Get a new talking point. The constant opposite negative narrative has lost its power. What positive things are you doing for our Country?”

The post has added fuel to the ongoing online debate over federal spending priorities and political consistency in Washington. As reactions continue to accumulate on X, the clip underscores the sharp divisions that persist around the Trump administration’s early actions.
