It is no secret that Sony has not wanted to play with others recently. For well over a year, from games to Rocket League to Fortnite, Sony has declined crossplay requests from Nintendo and Microsoft. They have even taken down active cross-platformย play, proving it is as simple as flipping a switch. Now, it seems like Bethesda is having the same trouble when it comes to Fallout 76.
Bethesdaย director and executive producer Todd Howard recently spoke with the Germain gamingย Gamestar.de. When he was asked about crossplay possibilitiesย for the recently announced online multiplayer action role-playing Fallout 76,ย Howard spoke candidly.
โWe would love that, but right now we canโt,โ Howard said when asked about enabling crossplay. โSony isnโt as helpful as everyone would like.โ
But does that mean that not only could crossplay between
Sure, it doesn’t seem feasible from that statement that Fallout 76 could come to the Nintendo Switch, especially considering there are no plans to port Falloutย 4 to the Switch. It is important to keep in mind that Bethesda has ported games to the console in the past (Skyrim, DOOM, Wolfenstein II), so releasing Fallout 76 on the console isn’t out of the question.
